MROP 2026: Application Form

REGISTRATION CLOSES ~ August 15, 2026

We will consider applications submitted after August 15th on a space-available basis.

There are no guarantees of a space until your application is confirmed.

Cost: $850 — ($250 deposit required with application, which if you are accepted is applied to your registration).

Payment must be made in full no later than August 15, 2026.

Thank you for your interest in the Men's Rites of Passage event at Johnsonburg Retreat Center.

The Rites of Passage are most appropriate for men who are spiritually searching, who have already done some kind of men’s work and who are not in a major reaction against God, grace, or transformation. It is important to note that you must be in good health and have a basic ability to move around in nature.

We believe it’s best if you approach this experience as a lone seeker. Fathers and sons are normally not initiated together, nor is this a buddy experience. You may come with friends but expect to be assigned to a group where you will be anonymous and start from zero together with your group. (You will actually find this to be an advantage.)

Cost: If accepted, your $250 deposit will be applied toward the total cost of $850.00.

If you are not accepted, your deposit will be returned In Full. Additionally, all funds paid will be refunded In Full in the event Illuman DC cancels the MROP.

IllumanDC sponsors the Illuman East Coast Collaborative of Illuman men from Maine to Florida. We have set aside a limited amount of funding to provide scholarship assistance. Contact John Ball, 240-434-2998, for more information about scholarship assistance.

• You may not make this initiation rite more than once.

• Please answer these questions honestly and not in a perfunctory manner.

• Please note that your application is not considered complete until a $250 deposit has been received. Please pay deposit online.

Take time to thoughtfully and mindfully complete the answers to the questions in the application. A member of our team will review your application and may call you to discuss the MROP, your spiritual journey and answer any questions you might have.

Next Steps

Payment Options

The per person cost for the MROP is approximately $150 more than our fee.
We have several men who have generously donate to help us offset the cost,
including scholarships that we provide.
