Illuman is a fellowship of men who create communities and experiences to support men’s transformation at key life thresholds, throughout their life-long journey. Our primary concern is inner work that makes a difference in the world. We are fed by the wisdom traditions of forgiveness and radical inclusivity.

Using the ancient tools of nature, ritual, image, storytelling, and council we help one another reclaim the soul’s wisdom and the gift of joy. Bearing gifts that often come straight from the wound itself, we then join sisters and brothers, as healing agents in a hurting world.

One major vehicle for this work is the Men’s Rites of Passage (MROP). It is conducted as a five-day, wilderness-based men’s retreat. This experience is appropriate for all men, from their late 20’s to 100 years.

Created by Fr. Richard Rohr, over 6,000 men have gone through this deeply transformative experience in Europe, Australia and North America. Illuman has been entrusted with maintaining the integrity and expansion of this work. You can learn more in the related pages.

MROP Costs (Includes Program, Housing & All Meals)

  • $850 Standard Rate (Includes Program, Housing & All Meals)

  • $250 deposit required at registration (See Refund Policy Below)

  • The Unpaid Balance of the Registration Fee is Due by August 1, 2024

  • All Donations Over & Above the Program Fee are Tax Deductible and Will be Used to Help Provide Scholarships.

Refund Policy

  • Full Refund at any time if the MROP is cancelled by Illuman DC.

  • Cancellation by Participant Before July 1, 2022 – Full Refund

  • Cancellation by Participant After July 1, 2022 – One Half of Amount Paid

  • Cancellation by Participant After August 1, 2022 – No Refunds
