Thank you for your interest in the Young Men's Rites of Passage event at Still Point Mountain Retreat.

The Rites of Passage are most appropriate for young men who are ready for a challenging and potentially life-changing experience. Though rooted in Christian spirituality, the Rites are spiritual, not religious, in nature. Young men from diverse spiritualities and none have found these Rites profoundly meaningful. It is important to be in good health and have a basic ability to move around in nature.

We believe it’s best if you approach this experience as a lone seeker. You may come with friends but expect to be assigned to a group where you will be anonymous and start from zero together with your group. (You will actually find this to be an advantage.)

Cost: If accepted, your $100 deposit will be applied toward the total cost of $350.00.

If you are not accepted, your deposit will be returned In Full. Additionally, all funds paid will be refunded In Full in the event Illuman DC cancels the YMROP due to COIVD-19, or for some other reason.

Illuman DC has set aside a limited amount of funding to provide scholarship assistance. Contact Dan Harris if you need more information about scholarship assistance.

Why an Application? In our experience, men and young men need to consider thoughtfully what hopes and expectations they have for these rites. Writing responses to these few questions help clarify your intentions and aspirations. The responses also help us discern
