YOGA AND THE TRUE SELF RETREAT

An experiential dive into the wisdom traditions of East and West. We will utilize the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and Richard Rohr’s Immortal Diamond.

No yoga experience is necessary. This event is designed for both an experienced yogi and a man who has no yoga experience. The retreat will include Ritual, Council Circles, Presentations, Meditation, Yoga postures, and 1st, 2nd, & 3rd person Blessings. Yoga mats will be provided. If you have your own yoga mat, please bring it with you. Casual loose fitting attire is recommended.(gym shorts, sweat pants, T-shirt, fleece pullover, layers to peel off) Warm clothes and hiking boots for outside activities.

This retreat weekend will include:

  • Ritual

  • Blessing

  • Meditation

  • Breath work

  • Yoga postures

  • Council circles

  • Time in nature

Retreat Facilitator: Jim O’Neill

Jim has been a yoga practitioner for 20 years. He did his Yoga Teacher Training in a maximum security prison through the Transformation Yoga Project. He has been teaching yoga to Incarcerated men for the past ten years. He made his Men’s Rites of Passage in 2006 at Frost Valley, NY. He has studied Healing Touch through the Healing Touch Professional Association and incorporates Healing Touch into his yoga and meditation practice.

COST — We offer a sliding scale with a suggested fee of $325 per person.

This includes two overnight guest room and six meals (Friday: Dinner, Saturday: BLD, Sunday: BL. This amount or more helps us offer reduced rates to men who need assistance. The payment is required 3 weeks prior to the Yoga and the True Self retreat weekend. If you have any questions regarding fees or would like to request a scholarship, please contact Jim O’Neill.
