Wondering Among Trees: A Men's Retreat

  • Rolling Ridge Study Retreat 691 Christ Church Road Harpers Ferry, WV, 25425 United States (map)

Looking For a Reset?

Unplug, wander among trees, and wonder at their wild beauty. A weekend of forest immersion in the wilderness restores and recharges.

Why Trees?

Trees tell a story, and they teach by example. They’re rooted and grounded. They gather in groups for mutual benefit. They connect intimately with each other. They release what they no longer need. They serve the whole ecosystem with life-giving sustenance. The life journey of trees is best learned by viewing, touching, smelling, tasting, and listening to trees. Through actively learning their story, we’ll deepen our understanding of our own story and the stories of other men.

What to Expect

Join a roving band of brothers in the Rolling Ridge wilderness for a weekend of communing with trees, guided by the distilled wisdom of Rumi, Hafiz, Thomas Merton, Wendell Berry, Mary Oliver, Aldo Leopold, Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer, and other poets and sages. We’ll share planned activities and council circles, as well as time alone in the forest. Together, we’ll wander, drum, dance, laugh, and listen.

Space is limited—register now!

You could keep up the daily grind as usual. Or you could sign up for a wild weekend in the forest and come back more centered, more connected, more ready to release what no longer serves you.
